1. Our agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Mancala Byte apps, the browser game at mancalabyte.com/play, mancalabyte.com and related services (the “Service”), operated by Byte Ranch, LLC, [registered address to be confirmed] (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required where you live. If you are under the age of majority, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms.
You can play as a guest. A guest account lives in your device's or browser's session and cannot be recovered if it is lost (for example, when you clear your browser's data); create an account to keep your progress safe. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in details and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate someone else or use another person's account.
3. The game
Mancala Byte is a Mancala game with play against computer opponents, turn-based games with other players, daily challenges, leaderboards and progression. Features may change as the game evolves. The app is in development; pre-release builds can contain errors, and we do not promise a release date or continuous availability.
Games with other players have move deadlines. A game can end when a player runs out of time, resigns or deletes their account.
4. XP, ratings and virtual items
XP, levels, ratings, streaks, achievements, coins and cosmetic items are features of the game. They have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money. They are not wagers or prizes. We may adjust them or their rules to fix errors, respond to cheating or change the game.
If we offer purchases in the future, the price and any additional terms will be shown before you buy. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms.
5. Fair play and conduct
Play your own games. Do not use bots, engines or other assistance in games against other players or in the daily challenge, manipulate ratings or leaderboards, coordinate results, use multiple accounts to gain an advantage, or exploit bugs. Do not harass other players or use offensive usernames, avatars or reactions.
We may reset results, remove leaderboard entries, change a display name, restrict features or suspend an account for violations. Use Report in the app or email [email protected] to report a concern or appeal a decision.
Do not reverse engineer, disrupt or attempt unauthorized access to the Service except as applicable law expressly permits. Report suspected security issues privately to [email protected].
6. License and ownership
Subject to these terms and applicable app-store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Service on devices you own or control. We and our licensors keep all rights in the Service, its branding, artwork and software. Mancala itself is a traditional game; our rights cover our implementation of it.
You keep ownership of content you submit, such as a display name or avatar, and grant us permission to host and show it to other players as needed to run the Service.
7. Suspension and deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app or through the account-deletion page. Retention is described in our Privacy Policy. Removing the app from a device does not delete your account.
We may restrict or end access when needed to address a violation, protect the Service or comply with law. We may also change or discontinue the Service; where reasonably practicable we will give notice.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
9. App-store provisions
If you obtain the app from Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and Byte Ranch, LLC, not Apple. Byte Ranch, LLC is responsible for the app and its content, maintenance, support and any claims relating to it. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo, and are not on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. If you obtain the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. Mandatory protections under the law where you live are preserved.
11. Changes
We may revise these terms as the Service evolves. We will update the date on this page and give notice of material changes where required. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
